‘New York, 1922. The tempo of the city had changed. The buildings were higher, the parties were bigger, the morals were looser, and the liquor was cheaper.’

liquor was not cheaper, it was illegal, I highly doubt it was cheaper if anything else. prohibition anyone?

There comes a day when you realise turning the page is the best feeling in the world, because you realise there’s so much more to the book than the page you were stuck on.

And don’t worry about losing. If it is right, it happens—The main thing is not to hurry. Nothing good gets away.

Things to worry about

One of the hardest things about being an INTP

the-intp-mind:

is wanting people to know who you really are, and wanting people to understand you… but not wanting to show them and not wanting them to see your vulnerabilities.

I find boys much more attractive, in fact I am rather more than usually susceptible, but actually I find the actual sexual act with women more satisfactory, more terrible, more disgusting, and, in fact, more everything. - Stephen Spender

Let’s leave the Jews out of this just for a moment. Let’s think of another minority. One that… One that can go unnoticed if it needs to. There are all sorts of minorities, blondes for example… Or people with freckles. But a minority is only thought of as one when it constitutes some kind of threat to the majority. A real threat or an imagined one. And therein lies the fear. If the minority is somehow invisible and the fear is much greater. That fear is why the minority is persecuted. So, you see there always is a cause. The cause is fear. Minorities are just people. People like us.

“Maybe will our lives going to end up
with pony essays. Or housework.

And yes, maybe we’ll go to Oxford.

But if we’re all going to die
the moment we graduate,

Isn’t it what we do before that
counts.”

You see I usually find myself among strangers because I drift here and there trying to forget the sad things that happened to me.

I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school… I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy…
